From Our Director

The Pioneer Band has concluded a successful and busy 2024 season with more than 30 performances. As we are in a new year, we are preparing for another successful year in 2025.

The 2025 summer season will kick off with a 50-year anniversary concert. In 1975 I joined the Marine Band of Allentown and was chosen to conduct the Pioneer Band in 2012, making this my fiftieth year performing with the community bands of Allentown. For this concert I have chosen some my favorite compositions, but, also at this concert, the Pioneer band will honor it's 7 members who have played with the band for 50 years or longer. They have also chosen their favorite selections to play at this concert.

MaryAnn Amole – 53 years,

Dale Campbell – 50 years,

Linda Campbell – 52 years,

Matthew Cascioli - 53 years,

Randy Kohler - 54 years,

Wayne Nottle – 59 years,

and

John Racek - 59 years.
